DO
IT YOURSELF
This section is for those who are already writing their memoir or
for those who rather start one on their own. Here are some helpful
tips:
---Start in a chronological fashion or decide what period of time
you want to cover. Then start searching for facts. That can be in
old bills, checkbook registers, pictures and documents. This will
even tell you the price you paid for food, gas, mortgage, etc.
---Make a list of twenty highlights of your life. Select ten of
the most important and add that to your chronologic list. Now you've
got something to start writing about and memories to wade through.
---Make a memory bank: a filing system to store your photos, birth,
marriage or death certificates, awards, diaries, etc. Keep them
in a large box in separate folders or envelopes. When you want to
write a story, look in this memory bank. Keep adding to it, so you'll
keep having ideas for stories.
---The whole time you are writing, keep referring back to pictures
of your past. This method was probably the single best way that
I was able to write my 700 page memoir.
---If you need help, please don't hesitate to call me.

WHY
USE LION'S DEN PUBLISHING?
Dear
Friend,
I am a writer who has been writing for over ten years and ten
books later, I decided to offer this service. I know the value
of a memoir, not only is it of sentimental value, it becomes
a historical significance. Writing my own memoir was one of
the best things I ever did in my life. I feel so strongly about
this, that I want to make sure other people have this opportunity.
I'll work day and night, fast and furious, to get your book
done. |
I will guard your confidentiality and help you every step of
the way. My faith, family, friends and my work is what matters
to me most and the greatest loves of my life are people and
books (and lions, ha, ha.) I always strive to do my best and
I promise your book will be a great treasure to value forever.
Sincerely,
Kelly Cyr |
